The Oakland Raiders are just beginning the offseason process with their season ending last week. The team has announced they have signed quarterback Trent Edwards and defensive tackles Torell Troup and David Carter to reserve/future contracts.

The Raiders now have nine total players signed to these contracts.

Edwards is the most high profile of the group with some NFL starting experience. The former 2007 third round selection has made 33 starts in his six NFL seasons, but did not make a roster in 2013. He is a long shot to make Oakland's team, but will have the opportunity. Troup appeared in 21 games for the Buffalo Bills in 2010 and 2011, but has not played an NFL game since. He was a second round NFL Draft pick in 2010.  Carter started four games for the Arizona Cardinals in 2012 and played in three games for the Dallas Cowboys in 2013.

The Raiders previously signed six players from their practice squad to reserve/future contracts. Cornerback Johnny Adams, tackle Jack Cornell, wide receiver Jared Green, linebacker Eric Harper, tight end Brian Leonhardt and defensive end Chris McCoy are now joined by Edwards, Troup and Carter.
