It was a game the Raiders had to win. Instead, they lost in crushing fashion to the Tennessee Titans Sunday on a late Ryan Fitzpatrick touchdown pass to Kendall Wright. If the closing seconds loss at a crucial time in the season wasn't bad enough for the Raiders, they have to immediately shake it off and get ready for the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

It will be determined on Thursday whether or not the Raiders were able to move past this loss in such a short time. Had the Raiders hung on to beat the Titans, they would be the sixth seed in the AFC playoffs. There is so much football to play, but it would have been a huge boost to Oakland to know that the playoffs are a possibility and within reach. The loss to Tennessee totally changes their situation and makes getting back into playoff contention a long shot.

Another serious situation for the Raiders will be trying to get injured players back so quickly, especially cornerback Mike Jenkins and tight end Mychal Rivera who both did not finish the game with concussions. Rivera took a vicious helmet hit from safety Michael Griffin in the second quarter and was down for some time. He did finally walk off under his own power. With concussions, the players have to go through the NFL mandatory testing protocol in order to play. That will be a challenge for both Rivera and Jenkins in only three days.

The Cowboys are coming off a game winning field goal to beat the New York Giants 24-21. They are tied for the division lead with the Philadelphia Eagles, so they need to keep pace with a victory The Raiders are 0-3 this season against the NFC East. Quarterback Matt McGloin will make his third start of the season against the Cowboys. He led the Raiders on a touchdown drive in the fourth quarter to give them the lead against Tennessee, but the defense did not hold.
