The Oakland Raiders received a huge spark to the offense when quarterback Terrelle Pryor was named the starter. He has brought a tremendous amount of energy, along with his teammates; to a team that lacked energy many times a season ago. Raiders' general manager has taken notice.

“I think he energizes more than just the fan base,” McKenzie said of Pryor. “He energizes his teammates. Anybody that’s watching, everybody likes to see big plays and he’s a big play guy. So yes, the fan base, I’m definitely sure they love to see him play.”

Now Pryor will lead the Oakland offense into a Monday Night Football match-up against future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning. It will be the first time Pryor takes the big stage in the NFL and in a very meaningful AFC West game on the road. The Raiders offense held back against the Jacksonville Jaguars once they realized they had the game in the bag early. Against the Broncos, Pryor and the offense will have to play a clean game and generate those big plays Pryor brings to the offense.

“I just have to play my own game and Peyton’s great and I can’t let that get into mind,” Pryor said. “I have to play my game and focus on my team. He’s going to make big plays and I can’t go in there and say, ‘I’m going to fire back too, because he is.’  Down for down, one play at a time, and take my time and that will be a lot better than going in and trying to match back to back and force some things.”

The game between these two fierce rivals will bring together the NFL's best rushing offense through two games in the Raiders and the league's best rushing defense in Denver. The Raiders have averaged 198.5 rushing yards per game and tallied 226 in their win against the Jaguars. On the other side of the field, the Broncos are only allowing 40.5 rushing yards per game. Manning has so much to do with that number, because the Broncos offense gets on teams early with touchdowns. It is easy to fall behind and become one dimensional. The Raiders cannot fall into that trap and use their running game to keep the game close and keep Manning off the field.
