After his first year on the sideline for the Oakland Raiders, head coach Dennis Allen will coach the North team in the Senior Bowl on January 26, 2013. He will be opposed by Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz, who will coach the South team.
With the Raiders holding the third selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, Allen will have a chance to see and coach some prospects in preparation not only for the first round but throughout the draft. Allen will bring his entire coaching staff to the event, which is currently missing an offensive coordinator, special teams coordinator, linebackers coach and offensive line coach.
Some notable players Allen may have the opportunity to coach include Wisconsin running back Montee Ball, Oregon running back Kenjon Barner, Penn State defensive tackle Jordan Hill, and Michigan State cornerback Johnny Adams.
The game will be played on Saturday, January 26 in Mobile’s Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. It will be televised on the NFL Network.
