The NFL has announced the 2013 opponents for each team. The Oakland Raiders will play out of conference games against the NFC East and inside conference games against the AFC South. As always they will play each team in the AFC West home and away and two more games against the New York Jets and traditional rival Pittsburgh Steelers.
The match-ups are very intriguing. The Steelers and Raiders have been rivals since the 1970's and will play again in the upcoming season. Oakland won this year's game 34-31 and will host Pittsburgh again on 2013. The other AFC game will be against the New York Jets on the road.
Along with the AFC West division games, the Raiders will play the AFC South, which will include a trip to play the Indianapolis Colts and Andrew Luck. They will also travel to play the division winners from 2012, the Houston Texans on the road. They will get the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars at home. Both AFC South teams that made the 2012 playoffs are on the road in a tough scheduling result.
On the NFC side of the schedule, Oakland will take on the NFC East. The Raiders will go on the road to visit Jerry World to play the Dallas Cowboys as well as a trip to take on the New York Giants. They will see another outstanding young quarterback in Robert Griffin III when he and the 2012 division winning Washington Redskins come to Oakland. The Philadelphia Eagles will also travel to the Black Hole to round out the 2013 opponents.Tags: 2013 opponents, AFC South, Andrew Luck, Dallas Cowboys, Football, New York Giants, New York Jets, NFC East, NFL, Oakland, Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, Robert Griffin III
